The Thousandth Man: Episode 8 (Final) Recap

by: Raine

And here we have it, the finale. It’s all done and I feel a little empty as I always tend to feel after a drama that I enjoy finishes. It definitely brought everything to a close in a way I can accept.

But the episode was also a lot weaker than the others. I think they could’ve spaced some things out over a few of the earlier episodes.

However, my favorite moment of the entire series is in this episode and it makes up for everything. It was so beautifully done that even thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. *sob*

We end the series at 3.2% according to AGB Nielsen Nationwide. Ignore that!

The Thousandth Man: Episode 7 Recap

by: Raine

This episode had a lot crammed into it and moved a little fast for me. But it’s a television show and only eight episodes at that, so I’ll cut it some slack. I really love the family element that it has going, but the romance has been put aside for the mystery that is Gu Mi-jin. I hope we bring back the romance in the last episode because, well, that’s why Mi-jin is willing to die, right?

Oh yes, ratings went up to 4.5% according to AGB Nielsen Nationwide.

The Thousandth Man: Episode 5 Recap

by: Raine

This episode really explained a lot, pushed the plot forward and passed very significant romantic milestones. Despite this, the person who really got me in the gut this episode was Hyomin. She’s a fabulous actress that really made me run the gamut of emotions and then back again. Bravo girl. Way to defy public opinion!

The episode held steady at 4.6% according to AGB Nielsen Nationwide.

The Thousandth Man: Episode 4 Recap

Feelings are made more obvious and made me all mushy inside. Time is also running out, which ups the ante and heightens emotions. This episode’s potential liver donor explores the kind of men who should only be viewed from a distance because up close they are all sorts of icky.

Oh yeah, we have a slight improvement at 4.6% according to AGB Nielsen Nationwide. I would personally rate this show much higher. But what do I know?

You’ve also never seen a fox look so sexy. What do I mean? Read on.

The Thousandth Man: Episode 3 Recap

by: Raine

I am so sad. This episode dropped 3.9% according to AGB Nielsen Nationwide. Why? WHY?! I honestly believe this is due to the T-ara debacle. The cast is doing a stellar job, Hyomin very much included.

The beauty of this show is that it takes the same old story and portrays it in a way that gets me RIGHT THERE. It’s very intimate, mature, and addresses real issues while also having some very well-timed humorous bits and realistic family dynamics.

The Thousandth Man: Episode 2 Recap

by: Raine

This episode dropped 5.1% according to AGB Nielsen Nationwide. I totally don’t get it. The show just got cuter. A few not-so-surprising secrets were revealed, but I feel close enough to the characters to let the mundane tropes slide. Hyomin was particularly adorable this episode. (Boo T-ara scandals. Just enjoy the show, peeps). Lee Chun-hee’s smile makes me all giggly and Kang Ye-won has a wicked smirk.
